Dana Allen Fisher of Shenandoah County was named the winner of this year’s American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Ranchers Excellence in Agriculture Award.

James Van Der Hyde of Pittsylvania County is the winner of this year’s Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers Outstanding Young Farm Employee Award.

Adam and Holly Dean of Lee County and C.J. and Jessica Isbell of Hanover County are the winners of this year’s Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers Environmental Stewardship Award.



Culpeper County student wins Outstanding Young Agriculturalist Award

Jillian Lowery of Culpeper County has been selected as this year’s Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Outstanding Young Agriculturalist. 



Pulaski couple named runners-up for national Farm Bureau award

Jason and Paige Pratt of Pulaski County were named runners-up for the 2012 American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers Excellence in Agriculture Award Jan. 9 at the AFBF annual convention.



Augusta County teacher wins Farm Bureau Discussion Meet

Christy Huffman Kerr, an agriculture teacher at Wilson Memorial High School in Augusta County, took top honors Nov. 29 in Virginia Farm Bureau Federation’s annual Young Farmers Discussion Meet. The competition was held at the organization’s 2011 annual convention in Norfolk.




Halifax County teen wins Outstanding Young Agriculturalist Award

Rebekah Slabach of Halifax County has been selected as this year’s Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Outstanding Young Agriculturalist.



Augusta County man named Outstanding Young Farm Employee

Jack Kerr of Augusta County has been named the winner of the inaugural Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers Outstanding Young Farm Employee Award.



Bedford and Nottoway County farmers honored for environmental practices

Sam Gardner of Bedford County and John and Lydia Shepherd of Nottoway County have been named winners of this year’s Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers Environmental Stewardship Award.
