BLACKSTONE—Families can learn about agriculture in a fun way during the Family and Farm Day from
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the Southern Piedmont Agricultural Research and Extension Center, 2375 Darvills Road.

The free event will include a variety of activities, including a corn maze and opportunities for visitors to see farm animals, spin yarn and create grain art. There will also be presentations on soil erosion and conservation and the various uses of many Virginia crops.
