Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Day at Martinsville Speedway

Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Day at Martinsville Speedway

Two companies steeped in Virginia history and tradition have joined forces for the Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Day at Martinsville Speedway on October 23.

Martinsville Speedway president W. Clay Campbell announced today that Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance is the pole day sponsor leading up to the TUMS Fast Relief 500 on October 25.

"Farm Bureau Insurance is a great match for us. They are a grass roots company involved with Virginians from the coast to the mountains," said Campbell. "Like Martinsville Speedway, they have been around for a long time, providing a great product and solid customer service."

Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance was founded in 1950, just three years after Martinsville Speedway opened. It is committed to providing products that best meet the insurance needs of Virginia's families and small businesses.

"We are thrilled to have the Martinsville Speedway as a new partner," said Matt Smith, director of marketing for Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance. "We really believe the Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Day will elevate awareness for our company and give our members, customers and agents something to get excited about."

The pole day sponsorship will not be the Farm Bureau's only involvement in the TUMS Fast Relief 500. Farm Bureau will also be the primary sponsor on Joey Logano's Toyota, part of a six-race relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing.

NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying is set for 3:10 p.m. on Farm Bureau Insurance Pole Day. Tony Stewart holds Martinsville Speedway's Sprint Cup qualifying record with a speed of 98.083 mph (19.306 seconds), set October of 1995.
