Get a look at Virginia-made holiday goodies, on Real Virginia

This month Real Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s weekly television program, will share lots of Virginia-produced foods and beverages for seasonal celebrations. They include Virginia mead and many goodies marketed through the state’s Virginia’s Finest program.

The program also will visit one of several Nelson County chestnut orchards that making that seasonal treat available after a century-long wait, and travel north to showcase agriculture in Rappahannock County. 

Real Virginia can be viewed online and airs nationwide at 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month on RFD-TV on Dish Network and DirecTV, and on selected cable outlets around the state. It airs weekly on WVPT Harrisonburg, WBRA Roanoke, WCVE Richmond, WHRO Norfolk, WVVA Bluefield and WTKR Norfolk. 

If you are a Virginia Farm Bureau member who farms, your January issue of Virginia Farm Bureau News will share highlights from the recent Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention, as well as a summary of Farm Bureau success stories from 2018. You’ll also find details about a new multi-use agricultural complex that has opened in Wythe County. Virginia Farm Bureau News is mailed quarterly to producer members.
