You can expect some fun trends in the year ahead, which were revealed during a recent expo by the National Confectioners Association. What are they?

1.      High-end chocolate bars. Premium ingredients with premium pricing.

2.      Small-scale treats. Downsized versions, which may appeal to smaller appetites or the diet- and health-conscious.

3.      Hot and spicy. Sweet treats spiked with spice.

4.      Seasonal entries. Even more holiday shapes and packaging for Christmas, Halloween, and Easter.
