BALTIMORE—Bilingual safety posters and animal handling guidelines are available for horse farm owners to share with employees.

The free workplace safety materials were developed by a team of Thoroughbred farm owners, managers and employees, with the assistance of the University of Maryland’s School of Social Work. The project was developed in part because many horse farm employees are foreign workers, and the materials are applicable to all horse farms. Copies are available at workersafetyandhealth.com.
