We’ve all sprung forward, and the gardeners among us are just itching to get their hands in the soil. On Real Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s weekly television program, you can find out why the Victory Gardens that took root during World War I are still relevant today. You can also revel in the exotic and colorful plants at a Powhatan County orchid supplier.

We’ll also share information on what Virginia farm and forestry products are in demand overseas, and how agriculture remains alive and well in Loudoun County.

Real Virginia can be viewed online and airs nationwide at 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month on RFD-TV on Dish Network and DirecTV, and on selected cable outlets around the state. It airs weekly on WVPT Harrisonburg, WCVE Richmond, WHRO Norfolk, WVVA Bluefield and WTKR Norfolk.

If you’re a Virginia Farm Bureau producer member, your April issue of Virginia Farm Bureau News magazine will include coverage of the 2018 Young Farmers Winter Expo and Women’s Spring Conference, as well as highlights from the 2018 American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention.

Associate members, your next issue of Cultivate magazine will arrive in May.

Current and back issues of both magazines can be viewed online.
