Making travel plans? February’s issue of Cultivate should be of interest

Specify Alternate Text
Chilly days and nights are a great time to catch up with Farm Bureau with your most recent member publication and Real Virginia, the organization’s weekly television program.

The February issue of Cultivate magazine is on its way to associate members now, and if you are starting to make travel plans for later this year, you’ll want to take a look. This issue’s cover story introduces farm families who offer lodging for travelers who want a rural experience. There’s also a feature on culinary and cultural attractions on The Virginia Oyster Trail. Additionally, you’ll find information on the upcoming Virginia Horse Festival and see how Farm Bureau is celebrating and preserving history at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.

On Real Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s weekly television program, you can take a look at the robust presence agriculture has in Washington County. You also can learn how Virginia’s farmers have taken steps in the past three years to protect natural resources on 92,000 acres. And we’ll share some of the many ways the research and programs of Virginia Cooperative Extension benefit all Virginians.

Real Virginia can be viewed online and airs nationwide at 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month on RFD-TV on Dish Network and DirecTV, and on select cable outlets around the state. It airs weekly on WVPT Harrisonburg, WCVE Richmond, WHRO Norfolk, WVVA Bluefield and WTKR Norfolk.

If you’re a Farm Bureau producer member, your April issue of Virginia Farm Bureau News magazine will include coverage of the 2018 American Farm Bureau Annual Convention, as well as Virginia Farm Bureau’s annual conferences for young farmers and farm women. We’ll also share information from the annual Governor’s Conference on Agricultural Trade.

Current and back issues of both magazines can be viewed online
