Health insurance enrollment ends Jan. 31

Open enrollment can be confusing, but we’ll help you make sense of it all!

If you don’t enroll by Jan. 31, you can’t enroll in a health insurance plan unless you qualify for a special enrollment period. Qualifying circumstances include job changes or retirement; turning 26 and no longer being included on a parent’s policy; and the birth of a child.

But don’t worry, Farm Bureau is here to help! There are specialists in each county Farm Bureau office statewide who are ready to help you navigate open enrollment. They can cut through the confusion and help you pick out the plan that best meets your needs, said Brett Denton, vice president of Virginia Farm Bureau’s Health Care Consultants and Experient Health.

“We have someone in each office who is certified and trained in health insurance sales, and they can really help ease any confusion,” Denton said. “It’s important to contact them as quickly as you can, since open enrollment will close at the end of this month.”

To schedule an appointment or talk to someone in your local office, give them a call. All office information is available at vafb.com.
