POWHATAN—The third annual Celebration of the Horse will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 6 at Rocky Oak Farm, 2693 Rocky Oak Road in Powhatan County.

The event, which will benefit 4-H and FFA programs in Powhatan, will include the Central District 4-H Qualifying and Open Horse Show, a 4-H livestock show, equine-related demonstrations, live and silent auctions, a cornhole tournament, children’s activities and a variety of vendors. Parking is $5 per person or $10 per carload, and no alcoholic beverages or dogs will be permitted. In the event of rain, the celebration will be held May 7.
