Virginia Farm Bureau’s most recent member magazine was published with your senses in mind!

Associate members’ August issue of Cultivate includes some sweet and surprising watermelon and cantaloupe recipes and a colorful look at Virginia’s growing craft cider and cut flower industries. You’ll also find tips on weeding through misinformation about GMOs and get the scoop on this year’s State Fair of Virginia, which opens next month.

On Real Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s weekly television program, you can learn about Virginia apple season and craft cideries; meander along the Virginia Oyster Trail; find out how farmers are making a difference for Hunters for the Hungry; and get a look at what’s growing in the agricultural powerhouse that is Southampton County.

Real Virginia can be viewed online and airs nationwide at 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month on RFD-TV on Dish Network and DirecTV, and on selected cable outlets around the state. It airs weekly on WVPT Harrisonburg, WBRA Roanoke, WCVE Richmond, WHRO Norfolk, WVVA Bluefield and WTKR Norfolk.
