Farms enjoying additional role as getaways, on Real Virginia

Specify Alternate Text
Sometimes a traveler’s ideal vacation destination is amid the peace—or nonstop activity—of a Virginia farm.

On Real Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s weekly television program, you can find out about farmstay opportunities in Virginia; see the results of farmland preservation efforts in Loudoun County; and meet Bettina Ring, the state’s new secretary of agriculture and forestry. You’ll also see what’s going on at Westmoreland County farms at the height of summer.

Real Virginia can be viewed online and airs nationwide at 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month on RFD-TV on Dish Network and DirecTV, and on selected cable outlets around the state. It airs weekly on WVPT Harrisonburg, WBRA Roanoke, WCVE Richmond, WHRO Norfolk, WVVA Bluefield and WTKR Norfolk.

Virginia Farm Bureau associate members’ next issue of Cultivate magazine will arrive in August. Producer members’ next issue of Virginia Farm Bureau News magazine is coming in September.
Current and back issues of both magazines can be viewed online.
