Teacher’s garden nurtures knowledge, on Real Virginia

Specify Alternate Text
A carefully planned garden can yield much more than delicious produce.

On Real Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s weekly television program, you can see the many ways one Tidewater educator uses a garden as a teaching tool. You also can learn how the Virginia Conservation Assistance Program helps homeowners protect the Chesapeake Bay. You’ll also get a look at the global hunger relief efforts of a group of Virginia farm women, and see Campbell County agriculture in all its summer glory.

Real Virginia can be viewed online and airs nationwide at 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month on RFD-TV on Dish Network and DirecTV, and on selected cable outlets around the state. It airs weekly on WVPT Harrisonburg, WBRA Roanoke, WCVE Richmond, WHRO Norfolk, WVVA Bluefield and WTKR Norfolk.

Virginia Farm Bureau associate members’ next issue of Cultivate magazine will arrive in August. Producer members’ next issue of Virginia Farm Bureau News magazine is coming in September.

Current and back issues of both magazines can be viewed online.
