Quite soon, many Virginia farm families will spring into planting activities. Real Virginia, Virginia Farm Bureau’s weekly television program, shares some of their news from the weeks leading up to that.

Broadcasts this month focus on how the upcoming federal farm bill will affect not only farmers but also many American’s who do not farm at all.

Also, find out why rural Virginia needs better broadband service, and visit some of the farms in scenic Orange County. You’ll also meet two Virginia farm families who recently earned national recognition—and new tractors—for their local leadership and accomplishments.

Real Virginia airs nationwide at 3:30 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month on RFD-TV on Dish Network and DirecTV, and on selected cable outlets around the state. It airs weekly on WVPT Harrisonburg, WCVE Richmond, WHRO Norfolk, WVVA Bluefield and WTKR Norfolk.
