Find candidates, polling places in advance of Election Day

RICHMOND—It’s nearly Election Day, and all 40 seats in the Virginia Senate and 100 seats in the House of Delegates are up for election.

Virginians will be voting in newly drawn districts, so it’s important to know who’s on your ballot.

The Virginia Public Access Project’s election guide makes it easy to find pertinent voting information. When you visit, simply type in your address. This will tell you who’s on your ballot, where you can vote and who your current representatives are.

Additionally, the site lists deadlines for registering to vote: Early voting begins Sept. 22; voter registration ends Oct. 16; and Election Day is Nov. 7.

“Virginia Farm Bureau Federation encourages all Virginians to get out and vote, but especially members of our rural communities,” noted Martha Moore, Farm Bureau’s senior vice president of governmental relations. “It’s crucial for farmers to let their voices be heard and elect people who will make decisions in agriculture’s best interests.”
