Winter greens can taste bitter, but don't let that turn you off. The vinegar and citrus in this recipe for a delicious winter green salad help to brighten up any bitter flavor.

Winter Greens Salad

Serves 5

32 ounces greens, such as kale, spinach, or swiss chard, torn
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1⅝ ounces walnuts, chopped
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 tablespoons distilled vinegar
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon orange juice
1⅛ teaspoons honey
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Add the greens, orange, and walnuts to a bowl. Toss to mix.

In a separate bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, onion, juice, and honey.

Drizzle over salad and season with ground black pepper. Toss to combine.
