Virginia corn mazes offer fun fall family outings

Wayside Farm Fun in Clarke County is honoring Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins with a corn maze made in his likeness.

The farm is owned by brothers Philip and Mark Shenk and their wives, Theresa and Beth. Each year they create a new corn maze for visitors to enjoy. The 2014 maze featured Lego superheroes, and in 2013 the theme was Angry Birds. This year’s maze will be open through Oct. 30.

Other Virginia farms offer corn mazes as well, and you can find one near you by searching Virginia’s tourism website at Virginia.org.
