In addition to his Farm Bureau involvement, Pence serves on the boards of the Shenandoah County Economic Development Council, the Shenandoah Agricultural Foundation and the Woodstock/Edinburg Community Baseball organization.

In 2016, Pence was named Citizen of the Year by the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Virginia Tech, and currently serves as chief operating officer of BluePoint ATM Solutions. He also runs a beef cattle and hay operation in Edinburg.

He and his wife, Jamie, have one son, Anderson.
