Save on preventive health screenings with your Farm Bureau membership
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., and about 650,000 Americans die each year from heart-related health conditions. Furthermore, over 100 million Americans are at risk for heart attacks and strokes due to high blood pressure.
With their membership, Farm Bureau members in Virginia can reduce these risks by taking advantage of discounted rates on preventive screening services offered by Life Line Screening®.
The tests, which include four cardiovascular screenings and an osteoporosis screening, support physicians’ efforts to protect at-risk patients from stroke and heart attack by providing accurate ultrasound screenings.
The cardiovascular screenings are available to members for a combined price of $135, plus a $10 physician fee. These tests include:
- Carotid artery screenings
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm screenings
- Atrial fibrillation, or AFib, screenings
- Peripheral arterial disease, or PAD, screenings
There is no charge for the osteoporosis screening.
Appointments may be made online, or by calling 1-800-325-5685. For more information about Life Line Screening services, contact your county Farm Bureau office.
