The deadline to enter Virginia Farm Bureau Federation’s 2024 Journalism Awards competition is fast approaching, and media professionals are encouraged to submit their applications.

Entries will be accepted through Aug. 23, and submissions should include agricultural news reported between Sept. 4, 2023, and Aug. 23, 2024.

Entry forms and program guidelines are available through Farm Bureau’s online newsroom. There is no fee to participate.

The program is in its 37th year, and it recognizes exemplary ongoing coverage of agricultural issues, practices and events by print, radio and television news operations.

Winners will be recognized Dec. 3 during the opening luncheon at the 2024 VFBF Annual Convention at The Omni Homestead Resort. Award recipients will be notified prior to the event.
