Kickstart your summer at concerts, shows and rodeos

If you’re looking for a fun time to enjoy the early-summer sunshine, The Meadow Event Park’s got you covered.

Located at 13191 Dawn Blvd. in Caroline County, The Meadow Event Park is hosting a wide variety of entertainment to choose from this June, including ongoing Atlantic Union Bank After Hours Concerts with new artists each month.

June’s concert series includes:

  • June 23: Elle King
     
  • June 29: Brantley Gilbert

Those interested in gifting a wild horse or burro a new home won’t want to miss the Wild Horse and Burro Adoption event June 14-15. Hosted by the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management, the event features an auction style format with starting bids at $125. Dog lovers should mark their calendars for this month’s lineup of lively shows, including:


  • June 20-23: First Colony Cluster featuring Gloucester Kennel Club of Virginia, Dachshund Fanciers of Central VA, Virginia Kennel Club Inc. and Metropolitan Washington Dachshund Club.
     
  • June 27-30: Dogwood Cluster featuring Mattaponi Kennel Club, Great Dane Club of Metropolitan Washington and Tidewater Kennel Club of VA.

Revenge Roughstock Pro Rodeo returns June 21-22 for two electrifying evenings of pro rodeo, bull and bronc riding and barrel racing. Purchase tickets before they sell out. Visit the rodeo’s website for more information.
