Have a ball at horse shows, rodeos and other lively events

May is chock-full of enthralling entertainment at The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County.

Kicking off this month’s events is the 2024 Richmond Open May 3-5. Back for a third year, the community-led tabletop convention will feature miniature events, large tournaments, role playing games, board games and a variety of vendors . Visit the convention’s website for more information.

There will be no shortage of horse shows at The Meadow Event Park this month. May’s lineup includes:

  • May 10-11: Mason Dixon Paso Fino Horse Association Spectacular Show. Visit the association’s website for more information.
     
  • May 11-12: VA Gypsy Vanner Horse Show featuring Western and English events. Visit the GVHS website for more information.
     
  • May 17-19: Virginia National Stock Horse Show featuring an all-novice show, Versatility Ranch Horse Special Event and more. Visit the Virginia Quarter Horse Association website for more information.

Rodeo fans won’t want to miss the 20th Annual Gaff-n-Go Rodeo and Expo May 17-18. This family-friendly weekend of events features top lineworkers from the East Coast and beyond competing in traditional lineworker tasks. Visit the expo’s website for more information.
