2023 Annual Convention

Gary Cross of Southampton County was elected Nov. 29 to a three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors.

The first couple ever recognized with the Distinguished Service to Virginia Farm Bureau Award was announced Nov. 30 at the organization’s 2023 Annual Convention in Virginia Beach.

Craig County and Patrick County Farm Bureaus were honored Nov. 29 by the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation for projects conducted in their communities in 2023. The two organizations were recognized during the 2023 VFBF Annual Convention in Virginia Beach.

Pittsylvania County beef, poultry and tobacco producer Robert J. Mills Jr. of Callands was elected Nov. 29 to a fifth three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors.

Orange County beef producer Thomas E. Graves was elected Nov. 29 to a sixth three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors.

Jeannie L. Dudding of Craig County was elected Nov. 29 to a second three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors.

Tazewell County cattle producer Emily F. Edmondson was elected Nov. 29 to a sixth three-year term on the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation board of directors.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin said he is working to support Virginia’s largest combined industry—agriculture and forestry.

The Virginia Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Leadership Committee posthumously honored Kathy Coffee of Lunenburg County with its Outstanding Woman in Agriculture Award Nov. 29 at the VFBF Annual Convention in Virginia Beach.

Dr. Amanda Weakley-Scott of Madison County took top honors Nov. 28 in Virginia Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmers Discussion Meet in Virginia Beach during the VFBF Annual Convention.
