Prioritize your health during American Heart Month with a preventive health screening!
February is American Heart Month, which is the perfect time to focus on heart disease prevention.
Heart disease causes 1 in 4 deaths in the U.S.—around 650,000 annually—and more than 100 million Americans are at risk for heart attacks and strokes due to high blood pressure.
Farm Bureau members can mitigate these risks by taking advantage of discounted rates on preventive screening services offered by Life Line Screening.
The tests, which include four cardiovascular screenings and an osteoporosis screening, support physicians’ efforts to protect at-risk patients from stroke and heart attack by providing accurate ultrasound screenings.
The cardiovascular screenings are available to members for a combined price of $135, plus a $10 physician fee. These tests include:
- Carotid artery screenings
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm screenings
- Atrial fibrillation, or AFib, screenings
- Peripheral arterial disease, or PAD, screenings
There is no charge for the osteoporosis screening.
Appointments may be made online or by calling 1-800-325-5685. For more information about Life Line Screening services, contact your county Farm Bureau office.
