Explore modern twists on time-tested traditions, in the next issue of Cultivate

Ready to learn about topics both new and old in Virginia agriculture?

If you’re a Virginia Farm Bureau associate member, your wait is almost over! The latest issue of Cultivate magazine will arrive in May and is filled with content that examines rural traditions and new trends in urban farming.

The spring issue of Cultivate provides snapshots of three of Virginia’s oldest farmers markets—the Alexandria Old Town Farmers’ Market, the Lynchburg Community Market and the Historic Roanoke City Market.

The magazine also includes articles about quilting, as well as microgreen farming, which has created an entry point for non-traditional agriculturalists to enter the ranks of Virginia farmers. Readers also can learn about lawn alternatives that utilize native plants.

The next issue of Cultivate will arrive in August, and producer members will receive their next issue of Virginia Farm Bureau News in September.

Current and back issues of both magazines can be viewed online at issuu.com/virginiafarmbureau.
