As cold weather creeps in, visitors to The Meadow Event Park in Caroline County can bask in the warmth of the holidays.
Families can embrace the spirit of the season at a variety of events this month—like the return of Virginia’s largest drive-thru synchronized Christmas light and music show.
The Illuminate Light Show & Santa’s Village returns Nov. 21 and runs through Jan. 3. The 2.5-mile route features over 3 million Christmas lights synchronized to festive music that plays through your car’s speakers. Santa’s last night in the village will be Dec. 23. The show will open every evening, rain or shine, on all holidays.
If you’re not ready for holiday celebrations, history enthusiasts can enjoy a fascinating display of Civil War and other U.S. military memorabilia and pre-1898 firearms at the 44th Central Virginia Military Antique Show on Nov. 15.
The Caroline’s Promise 2025 Young Entrepreneur’s Expo will be held Nov. 15 in support of the nonprofit’s mission of giving young people the resources to succeed. The event will offer young entrepreneurs ages 5-18 the opportunity to promote, network and sell their products; and a variety of family-friendly festivities. Visit the Caroline’s Promise website for more information.
Visitors to The Meadow also can partake in philanthropic fun at the Back the Blue Barrel Race Nov. 15. Proceeds will benefit the Richmond Mounted Squad. Visit the event’s Facebook page for more information.
Don’t miss stunning, one-of-a-kind birds at the Virginia Pigeon & Dove Association Show Nov. 22. For more information, contact Roxanne Raines.
